Dear Parent/Guardian,
Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year! I want to personally thank you for supporting your children in our efforts to provide a high quality instructional program here at Boyd. As I visit each classroom I am proud to see how eager our students are to participate in the learning process. Please continue to encourage your child to do his or her very best at all times.
As we open another exciting school year please know that we are working hard throughout the year to make sure that each of our students will be ready for the next grade level. Please help your child to complete and then check their homework, and share in the joy of reading with your child every night. Children who read succeed!
On another note, I am also writing to ask that you take extra precautions when dropping off and picking up your children from school. Please keep safety in mind at all times and park your car to walk your child to the front gate if you are driving. Recently we have had too many children being dropped off in the street or in our parking lots. This creates a very dangerous situation with so much traffic.
Parents, once again thank you so much for the time that you give to our school and the dedication that you have towards your child's academic success. Together we can ensure that your child receives the best educational experience possible. And remember, you can't hide that bulldog pride!
